Please note! This easel has 3 defects, 1 of which is negligible, 1 is clearly visible and 1 is almost invisible. Still 100% functional, just as strong, just as heavy and unused: Still packed as it came from the factory in Ukraine but after careful inspection unfortunately Imperfect.
1) We glued one of the 2 glide lines, wood had come loose and was glued firmly (see images 2, 5 & 6). We chose strength over beauty, which is why it is now stronger than it was. From the side, glue parts can be seen that were released by tightening the glue clamps. By not removing this, there is more strength, dried glue is stronger than wood and the glue does not get in the way of the glider system (deep in the groove).
2) The floating left bottom has a crack with a line visible. Furthermore, a thick block of beech wood and 100% functional. No point in gluing this and because it concerns the bottom you can only see this with your head on the ground when the easel is tilted back as far as possible. (see images 3, 5 & 6)
3) There is a splinter from the H-Frame base, we did not notice this at first but after the extra checks it got caught in the skin and was sanded smooth. Actually not visible, better to feel with your finger (see images 4, 5 & 6).

This heavy, maximum height adjustable easel with brush tray adjustable to almost the bottom for the highest canvases. Canvases up to 221 cm can be firmly fixed on this heavy easel. Berlin is well adjustable in height and angle to meet all desirable requirements, but is sometimes practically too large and heavy for regular painting. The easel is very robust, heavy and easy to move but not always necessary for most artists. For the great passion and large canvases, a great easel that will last many lives, adjustable up to 272 cm in height.
